Children 5 years and older can get their own library card. Visit the children's department and we will offer young new card recipients a special holder and a special button. Call the library or check the library's website for details on how to get your card.

PianoRobbie Malkowski, a mezzo-soprano, sings live music from the 1930's through the 1960's accompanied by the gifted jazz classic pianist Dave Turner. Enjoy an hour of live performance and hear a story about each song. Malkowski and Turner's repertoire includes Broadway tunes, movie theme songs, and many favorites of stage and screen.

 

Wool Gatherers

YARN!This program is an ongoing adult gathering that  meets the third Monday of each month. Our circle of needle artists gets together to share stories, solve problems and to work on our current projects. Wool Gatherers is open to all skill levels and all types of needlework. Registration is not required.

 

A knitting project was left at the library and has not been claimed. The project is with green yarn on skinny wooden circular needles. Please claim it at the circulation desk.

 

Contemporary Writers Stop By...

Short story writers Hannah Pittard and Sandra Novack have released their first novels. Together they will visit our library to talk about their writing and to read from their debut books. Both authors live in the Chicagoland area; Ms. Pittard currently teaches fiction at DePaul University.
