Check-Out the Kill-A-Watt Meter!
Measure how much electricity your household appliances and electronics consume by checking out a Kill-A-Watt meter now available at the circulation desk. ComEd’s Smart Ideas for Your Home donated two meters to our library to encourage patrons to reduce their energy use and to save money.

Gently Read Paperback Books
The library staff accepts paperback books that have been gently read and adds them to our paperback exchange program housed at the Lake Bluff train station and on the second floor of the library. This service is very popular because it allows patrons to take books home, and then return them at their convenience.

E-Reference
Do your research / reading after the library closes with our on-line databases. Located at the bottom of our website are 5 icons each representing a different database. The Gale Library database offers current magazines and newspapers for both children and adults.  All databases are available during and after library hours. Questions?  Please call the library at (847) 234-2540.
