Teens! Escape to book island this Summer!

Teen Summer Reading Program
Lake Bluff Library will have its second Teen Summer Reading Club just for teens. Pick up a folder at the circ desk. Read 1000 pages and receive $15.00 gift card for Starbucks, iTunes or McDonalds. The Teen Summer Reading Club starts Saturday, June 12 at 10:00.

Teen Contest
Try your hand at our Island Literature contest. The winner will receive a $20.00 gift card to Barnes and Noble. Contest runs June 15 – June 30.

Treasures for Our Troops
Teens can bring in small, non-perishable items to put in our “treasure chest.” All items will be shippped to our men and women fighting in Afganistan. Items the troops find helpful are:

SPF Chapstick
Sunscreen
Playing Cards
Small handheld games
Hard Candy—not chocolate
Individual Crystal Light Packets
Beef Jerky

Let’s fill up our “treasure chest,” for the troops!

Teen Advisory Board Meetings
Summer meeting will be Thursday, June 24 at 7:30 July’s meeting will held, Thursday, July 29 at 7:30. Earn volunteer hours, meet new friends and new books, help develop the teen collection. Snacks will be served.

Knitting for Beginners
Teens can join Eliza Jarvi for a series of 3 sessions to learn the basics of knitting. Eliza will supply all materials and will show each person how to make a hat. Registration is required. Sessions will be held the following evenings.

Movies for Teens
Teens can join us on Thursday, June 17 at 7:00 and Wednesday and July 21 at 2:00. Movie titles will be announced.

The Last Day of the Summer Reading Club is Saturady, July 31st!
No prizes will be awarded after that date.
