Board Meetings

Ordinance setting forth the dates of Regular Meetings and closures of the Lake Bluff Public Library Board of Trustees.

Meetings are held in the Spruth Meeting Room of the Lake Bluff Library, 123 E. Scranton Ave, Lake Bluff, Illinois 60044, generally on the third Tuesday of the month, starting at 7:00 p.m.

Special meetings may be held. Any special meeting will be posted at the Library and on the Library’s website no less than 48 hours prior to the meeting.

Committee of the Whole Meetings

Library Board of Trustees Committee of the Whole meetings of the Lake Bluff Public Library will be held on the first Tuesday of each month as needed beginning at 7:00pm on the main floor of the Lake Bluff Public Library (123 E. Scranton Ave., Lake Bluff, Illinois 60044).

Holiday Closures

The Lake Bluff Public Library will be closed on the following 8 holidays:

  • May 31, 2027 – Memorial Day
  • July 4, 2027 – Independence Day
  • September 6, 2027 – Labor Day
  • November 24, 2027 – early closure at 1pm
  • November 25, 2027 – Thanksgiving Day
  • November 26, 2027 – late opening at 1pm
  • December 23, 2027 – early closure at 1pm
  • December 24-25, 2027 – Christmas Eve and Day
  • December 31 2027 – January 1st, 2028 – New Year’s Eve and Day

Staff In-Service Day Closures

The Lake Bluff Public Library will be closed on the following staff in-service days:
