  5. New Business
    1. Quotes for Environmental Report (lead paint and asbestos) 3 quotes: ECS Midwest- $6750, Midwest Environment Consulting Service-$3,300, Environmental Consulting Group-$3,900. The plan is for asbestos collection then inspecting the layout and sample the whole building. Then samples sent out for testing. Lead done by licensed inspector. Renee recommends Midwest Environmental Consulting. She will ask for their time frame.
    2. Carpeting Analysis Report and Proposal-from Johnson Floors- Phil walked through the building with Renee assessing the carpet. The proposal is part of the master plan. 5 prices: depending on which section of the library needs replacement. Talked about different types of applications of adhesives. For price of 1-2and 3 Tiers there was previously little to no floor prep. Recommend for sections 1 and 2 sanding and scraping and new floor patch or preferably trowel adhesive. One option is to try to salvage some carpet and put it on with a better method. First floor replace when other parts are being fixed. Priced ala cart based on need. First floor priority? Leave Spruth room for now because of possibility of asbestos or lead paint. Renee recommends that nothing is done with carpet until environmental report is completed. Phil suggests the children’s area behind the desk could be temporary. Prioritize which areas? All would have to wait until the environmental report is done.
    3. Indoor Air Quality Report-Committee to review over month. Water moisture and mold in Renee’s office and air quality (CO2) in the preschool area are at issue. Should look into having a review after construction.
