AGENDA

  1. Call to order Trustee Jerch called the meeting to order at 7:00
  2. Roll Call-Trustee Jerch, Trustee Jardine and Interim Director David J. Seleb
  3. Public Comment – None
  4. ACTION: Approve Building and Grounds Committee Meeting minutes from October 23, 2024 -Trustee Jardine approved Jerch seconded
  5. New Business
    1. Discuss Parking Lot Lighting Project-Trustee Jardine talked with Brian Rener. He said that either light works for the parking lot. He suggested that we call the salesman to ask for the prices. Also, he suggested that we call a local builder to get an electrician referral. David called the HIghland Park Electrical Inc. They are coming out on 1/7 to talk with the Interim Director about the project. He will ask for a proposal to replace ESW lights.
    2. Discuss Asbestos Abatement Project-Interim Director security project into abatement project using $100,000 from state to abate. Updated proposal from Midwest Environmental Consulting Services to begin to manage the abatement project. Outline initial process. Signed agreement. Services include:
      1. MEC will meet with the client representative to discuss scope of work.
      2. Quantify the materials to be abated.
      3. Develop project phasing and timelines.
      4. Develop AutoCAD drawings showing locations and quantities of materials.
      5. Containment preparation laid out and documented.
      6. Develop containment schemes.
      7. Supply cost estimates.
      8. Project Design reviewed by an Illinois Licensed Project Designer.
      9. Contact contractors for a bid. Midwest is coming to the library to get the process started on 1/27. Now forms for the state have to be completed with deadlines coming up.
