NOTICE OF BUILDING AND GROUNDS COMMITTEE

The Building and Grounds Committee of the Lake Bluff Public Library Board of Trustees will meet in person for the purposes outlined below:

Prior notification of intention to attend is not required but is appreciated.   2. Roll Call Trustees Jerch, Shaul, Jardine and Director Grassi
  3. Public Comment None
  4. ACTION: Vote to Approve Building and Ground Committee Meeting Minutes from April 3, 2024 Jerch moved to accept, Jardine seconded. Ayes have it. Questions regarding various issues regarding building problems. Including mold in Renee’s office, CO2 in the preschool and children’s area and general venting.
  5. Discussion: Lake Bluff History Museum Request of one Spot in Library Staff Parking Lot-IGA meeting was requested that we have a parking space for the Museum. Original IGA did not have one. Village wants to have one. First time that museum asked. Will be discussed at board meeting and the board will vote on this. How does this impact pilot hours? Not all library positions are yet filled so current open parking spots may be filled. Solution: More ADA compliant parking so maybe one in front of the library on Scranton? Still add an accessible spot in the parking lot? Stickers that were ordered for staff weren’t functional and not replaced. Should we order new ones? Need to provide safe parking for staff.
  6. Discussion: Draft IGA from Lake Bluff Village Renee questions role of the village, museum board member and Director and 1 library board member and director. Confusion about separating roles regarding museum staff and background with the village. Looked at old and new IGA. Building and grounds elements: After PPRT village wants to clarify the role between village and library. As per draft document: Committee discussed the Draft IGA as regards building and grounds.
