Homework Help Databases

School is back in session, so we thought it was the perfect time to talk about some of the Library’s homework help databases:

  • Explora Primary Schools and Explora Secondary Schools
We have two Explora reference and research databases. Explora Primary Schools is designed for students in primary school and Explora Secondary Schools is designed for high school students.

  • TrueFlix and FreedomFlix
Use FreedomFlix and FreedomFlix to explore science and social studies. You can watch educational videos on different topics, as well as access a number of full-text social studies and science books from Scholastic.

  • Middle Search Plus
Middle schoolers, this database is for you! Middle Search Plus is a full-text database of periodicals, essays, biographies, and other resources that you’ll need to conquer your research paper.

  • Points of View Reference Center
Points of View Reference Center is great for students (and even adults!) who want to know more about political issues. Each topic has a general overview of the issue as well as point and counterpoint pieces arguing for or against a particular position.

  • Primary Search
Primary Search is a database designed for children in elementary school. Use Primary Search to search periodicals, encyclopedias, books, journals, and more.

But wait, there’s more! Take a look at our Research and Homework Help page for a complete list of all of the databases that the Library offers. Questions? Email the reference desk or call us at 847-234-2540.
