Library service update: masks
In light of the new guidelines from the Center for Disease Control and the new executive order from the Governor of Illinois, the Lake Bluff Library has made some adjustments to its practices regarding masks:
- Vaccinated patrons are not required to wear a mask while in the building. However, the Library serves a variety of patrons, including individuals who are not vaccinated. We are asking vaccinated individuals to continue to be considerate of others and practice social distancing to help keep the Library safe and accessible for all.
- Unvaccinated individuals are required to wear masks while in the building, in keeping with both the new executive order and the CDC guidelines.
- Staff members will continue to wear masks when interacting with the public, regardless of their personal vaccination status.
- We are continuing to evaluate and monitor the situation as it develops—practices may be adjusted as new information becomes available.
As always, we appreciate your patience, cooperation, and consideration as we work to keep the Library a safe place for all. Questions or comments about the Library’s COVID response may be directed to our Library Director, Eric Bailey.
