Seed Library

Feeling cooped up and looking for something to do outside your house? We're here to help you get out and get growing! You can now place an online order for seeds from our Seed Library as part of the our Victory Gardens Project.

Based on the victory gardens grown by civilians during WWII, the goal of the LBPL Victory Gardens Project is to provide a way for our community to connect and collaborate even while we are apart. Growing your own garden is a way to be proactive, engaged, and community oriented while still adhering to the important rules of social distancing that keep your community safe.

Join us on this gardening adventure, and be sure to share your progress with us on social media.

Please note that we can only fill seed requests from patrons located in the state of Illinois.

The Lake Bluff Public Library's Seed Library was made possible thanks to a generous donation from Pasquesi's Home and Garden.
