Dive Into Reading
05/20/2026
The Lake Bluff Public Library and Lake Bluff Middle School are partnering this summer to promote literacy and encourage students to continue reading throughout the summer through the Library’s Summer Reading Club. By fostering a love of reading, the program helps children strengthen comprehension, build confidence, and maintain academic growth during the months when school is out.
The Summer Reading Club provides a fun and rewarding way for children and families to build a consistent reading habit. Youth participants track the days they read, earning a prize for every 10 days. Those who reach 30 days receive a finisher’s packet, including a book of their choice along with other fun items. Participants who keep the momentum going can earn additional bonus prizes for reaching 40, 50, or even 60 days of reading.
Teens in high school and adults can participate in the Summer Reading Club by completing five activities, such as reading a book, attending a Library program, or supporting a local business. Participants of all ages can stay connected to books and celebrate the joy of reading all summer long.
