The Children's Department of Lake Bluff Public Library provides current, responsive, high-interest materials and programs throughout the year for children through Grade 8. Programs include the annual Summer and Winter Reading Clubs, Preschool Storytime, and more. We are happy to offer suggestions for reading and viewing materials, as well as "read-alike" choices, for every child.
Our collection includes a wide variety of books and eBooks/eAudiobooks. The department also houses a wonderful collection of magazines, DVDs, Blu-rays, and CDs that can be enjoyed by children and their families.

Remote Learning Resources
We've got a whole page of remote learning and home school resources available for you.
Thanks to a generous donation from the Friends of the Library, we are now able to offer you access to Tutor.com! Tutor.com provides on-demand tutoring, homework help, test preparation and writing assistance for students in grades K-Adult in over 60 subjects. Live online help is available from 2:00pm and 9:00pm, 7 days a week. No appointment required.
The Library will be offering virtual programming only through at least the end of May. We look forward to adding new in-person events once it is safe to gather again.
Registration is required for Zoom programs: In order to attend a Zoom program, you must register using the event calendar. You do not have to be a cardholder to attend a program. Once you have registered for a program, the system will send you an email with the link to the Zoom meeting.
