The Children's Department of Lake Bluff Public Library provides current, responsive, high-interest materials and programs throughout the year for children through Grade 8. Programs include the annual Summer and Winter Reading Clubs, Preschool Storytime, and more. We are happy to offer suggestions for reading and viewing materials, as well as "read-alike" choices, for every child.
Our collection includes a wide variety of books and eBooks/eAudiobooks. The department also houses a wonderful collection of magazines, DVDs, Blu-rays, and CDs that can be enjoyed by children and their families.
This program pairs together a child entering grades 1st through 3rd with a teen volunteer entering grades 7th through 12th for six weekly reading sessions. Learn more about the Book Buddies program.
