The Adult Services Department provides high-quality materials, programs, and library services for adults ages 18 and older. We offer a diverse collection of books, audiobooks, music, magazines, and movies in both physical and digital formats. We strive to connect patrons with enriching materials through helpful reader’s advisory for both books and A/V materials.
Our year-round programming schedule includes a wide variety of programs on a range of current topics—we offer everything from historical lectures and healthcare presentations to DIY crafts and Trivia Night at the Lake Bluff Brewing Company.
Currently all programs through May 30 have been canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic. We look forward to adding new events once it is safe to gather again.
We are also offering some virtual programming on the Library Facebook page and the Library Instagram. This is an evolving service, so if you have comments or questions, please feel free to comment on our posts, message us, or use the the Contact page to send us an email. If we are not able to offer a program virtually, we are hoping to reschedule cancelled programs as soon as it is safe to do so. Please stay healthy and safe!
