The Adult Services Department provides high-quality materials, programs, and library services for adults ages 18 and older. We offer a diverse collection of books, audiobooks, music, magazines, and movies in both physical and digital formats. We strive to connect patrons with enriching materials through helpful reader’s advisory for both books and A/V materials.
Our year-round programming schedule includes a wide variety of programs on a range of current topics—we offer everything from historical lectures and healthcare presentations to DIY crafts and Trivia Night at the Lake Bluff Brewing Company.
The Library will be offering virtual programming only through at least the end of August. We look forward to adding new in-person events once it is safe to gather again. Visit our events page for a full list of our virtual programs.
Registration is required for Zoom programs: In order to attend a Zoom program, you must register using the event calendar. You do not have to be a cardholder to attend a program. Once you have registered for a program, the system will send you an email with the link to the Zoom meeting.
