The Adult Services Department provides high-quality materials, programs, and library services for adults ages 18 and older. We offer a diverse collection of books, audiobooks, music, magazines, and movies in both physical and digital formats. We strive to connect patrons with enriching materials through helpful reader’s advisory for both books and A/V materials.
Our year-round programming schedule includes a wide variety of programs on a range of current topics—we offer everything from historical lectures and healthcare presentations to DIY crafts and Trivia Night at the Lake Bluff Brewing Company.
The Library will begin to offer some outdoor, in-person programming this summer in addition to virtual programs through Zoom. Please see the calendar for more information. All attendees are expected to comply with any health and safety restrictions for in-person programs.
Registration is required for Zoom programs: In order to attend a Zoom program, you must register using the event calendar. You do not have to be a cardholder to attend a program. Once you have registered for a program, the system will send you an email with the link to the Zoom meeting.
