Why I serve on the Board: To give back to the community and indulge my love of reading and hope for universal literacy.

Interests, passions, hobbies: Just about all sports, especially tennis, yoga and golf. I enjoy reading and traveling. I often check out travel guides from our wonderful library!
Favorite book: Too many to narrow it down!
Favorite things about the library: That the library serves such a large number of people in our community - from the ages of 2 to 92!
Why I serve on the Board: I'm delighted to have been elected to the Board in order to give back to Lake Bluff.

Favorite things about the library: The library is a focal point for the community providing services and programs for young and old. Our library has become very innovative in its ways to support the community with both live and virtual programs.
Why I serve on the Board: My wife and I have lived in the community for over 24 years and raised our 4 children here. I believe I can be a valuable contributor to the board based on my work experience. I am interested in serving on the Library Board of Trustees to help promote the importance of our library in the Lake Bluff community. The library will continue to be creative and innovative to provide residents with reading and visual materials in a safe and expeditious manner.

Favorite book: Hard to choose one, but Pride and Prejudice and A Gentleman in Moscow rank high on my list.
Favorite things about the library: Great staff, and BOOKS! It's truly the gem of Lake Bluff!
Why I serve on the Board: I feel it's a civic duty to participate in one's community in some way that's outside one's own family. Serving on the Library Board is a great way to do that, plus, the people I work with are delightful!

Favorite things about the library: My favorite things about the library are discovering new books, meeting up with friends, and all of the special programs for families and kids.
Why I serve on the Board: I serve on the board because I love the library and it is a vital community resource. I would like to support the library and our staff in continuing to provide important programs for all of the residents in Lake Bluff.

Favorite things about the library: It is a wonderful community resource which adds a richness and depth to the experience of living in this village. The many and varied program options in particular offer splendid opportunities to all generations to participate and expand their learning horizons.
Why I serve on the Board: The library deserves our substantial and continued support. I believe that the more educated we become as a society, the more civil we become, and that is a goal worth striving for. Libraries can play a critical positive role in this process. Our Lake Bluff Library in particular continues to serve this community as a valuable and critical resource in this so valued endeavor.
