Voter Registration
The Lake Bluff Public Library is an official place of voter registration for Lake County. The Library offers voter registration during normal operating hours whenever a Deputy Registrar is available. You are encouraged to contact the Library before arriving to ensure a Deputy Registrar is available.
You may also register to vote online through the IL Board of Elections website.
Voter Registration Requirements
To register to vote, you must be:
- A U.S. citizen
- 18 years old or will be 18 by the date of the upcoming general or consolidated election
- A resident of the precinct for at least 30 days prior to Election Day
Bring Two Forms of Identification
You must bring two forms of identification to register. At least one form of ID showing your current address is needed. These may include but are not limited to:
- Drivers license
- Bank statement
- Residence contract/lease
- Utility bill
- State identification card number
When to Register
Registration is open year around except during the 27 day period prior to an election and during the 2 day period after each election.
