Halloween Programs with the Library

We have five great programs planned to celebrate the spooooookiest day of the year!

Trunk or Treat

10/22 from 6:30-7:30pm at Lake Bluff Park District

Registration is Required

Looking for a safe place to take your child trick or treating? Join the Library at the Lake Bluff Park District for their annual Trunk or Treat event. Show your Lake Bluff Library support and stop by our trunk! We hope to see you there!

Event is located at the Lake Bluff Park District at 355 W. Washington Ave in Lake Bluff.

REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Please register through the Lake Bluff Park District.

Outdoor Movie Night

10/22 at 7:30pm at Blair Park

Registration is Required


The Lake Bluff Library and Lake Bluff Park District have partnered again to bring a FREE family friendly movie night at Blair Park right after Trunk or Treat ends. BYOB (Bring Your Own Blanket!) and join us for The Addams Family (2019, Rated PG).

Event is located at Blair Park in Lake Bluff.

Pumpkin Fest at Lake Bluff Middle School

10/23 at 10:00am


The Lake Bluff Public Library is eek-cited to partner with the Lake Bluff PTO for Pumpkin Fest this year! We'll have a spooooky good time creating pumpkin crafts at the event. Decorate your foam pumpkin with fun knick-knacks and stickers.

Trick or Treat at the Library

10/25 – 10/31 during regular operating hours


Children, teens, and adults can stop by the Library during the week of Halloween to trick-or-treat. All you need to do is say “trick-or-treat” to the friendly staff at the Circulation Desk to receive a fine voucher or Halloween candy. Costume optional but enthusiastically encouraged!

Halloween Open House

10/26 from 4-5pm


Dress in your Halloween finest and join us for a not-so-spooky party! Drop in for some stories, a craft, and treats, no tricks!
