Summer Reading Club is Going Online

For these last couple of weeks, our staff has been hard at work developing plans of action to bring key Library services online. At this point, we anticipate that all Library programming will be held virtually through at least the month of August. This includes the Summer Reading Clubs for adults, teens, and children.

So, what exactly does an online Summer Reading Club look like? We’re glad you asked. The core principles are the same: you read books and/or use Library services, we give you prizes for it. This year, Summer Reading Club participants will use Beanstack to sign up for Summer Reading Club and track their reading. Beanstack is available for free online and can be accessed through a standard web browser on your desktop or laptop, or through the Beanstack app, which can be downloaded directly onto your mobile or tablet device. We’ll be sharing more instructions on using Beanstack and details about the clubs (including information on prize distribution) as we get closer to the Summer Reading Club start date.

The 2020 Summer Reading Club, Reading is Your Passport to Adventure, will begin on June 13 and run through August 31 for adults, teens, and children. We look forward to exploring Summer Reading Club with you in this new format.
